    PARNEC (PAttern Recognition and NEural Computing laboratory), is a research group directed by Professor Songcan Chen. This group is  affiliated by the Department of Computer Science & Engineering, Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics. Now, the research group contains 4 faculties. The main research interests include machine learning, pattern recognition, neural computing, face recognition, bioinformatics, etc.

• 2010/09/06 Paper Fast and Robust Fuzzy C-Means Clustering Algorithms Incorporating Local Information for Image Segmentation by Weiling Cai, Songcan Chen and Daoqiang Zhang has been awarded the Honorable Mention of Pattern Recognition's best paper in 2007.

• 2010/07/06 The Deadline for Experiments of Pattern Recognition is July 12th. Please submit your work in time.

• 2010/06/11 The final examination of Pattern Recognition Principles will be held at A18-109, June 29th, 2010(Tuesday), 19:00~21:00
