    PARNEC (PAttern Recognition and NEural Computing laboratory), is a research group directed by Professor Songcan Chen. This group is  affiliated by the Department of Computer Science & Engineering, Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics. Now, the research group contains 4 faculties. The main research interests include machine learning, pattern recognition, neural computing, face recognition, bioinformatics, etc.

                      2008 11  14        'Xiaoyang  Tan, Songcan Chen, Zh-hua Zhou and Fuyan Zhang’s Pattern recognition Journal Article: Face recognition from a single image per person: a Survey', received honorable mention for the 2005-2006 Biennial Pattern Recognition Journal Awards”[award]  

                      2007 11 16-18    The 2007 Academic Conference of Atifitial Intelligence was held in Jiangnan University.                           

                      2007 11 9-11      The 5th Chinese Workshop on Machine Learning And Applications was held in Nanjing University and Nanjing Normal University.
